COMING OUT  book

An Invitation To Our 'Sisters/Brothers-In-Arms'

Announcement

GLB Publishers, Bill Lee, and I have teamed up for an editing/publishing collaboration encompassing a collection of short stories (~3,000 words each) of humorous 'coming out' anecdotes.  These "legendary" pieces don't have to be about the exact moment you announced your predisposition to the world; we're interested in experiences that could have taken place at any time but associated with the decision to Come Out. We're looking to have stories submitted for which we will accept (and expect) some 'creative license' to be taken in order to improve the entertainment and fun(ny)factor, but the underlying plot of your chronicle that drives the story needs to be true. The fiction parts (if you in fact need any) will only be a tool to enhance the humor.  Choose your favorite (or innate) type of humor and paint us a literary picture. We are only poking fun at a past situation and it is of paramount importance to note we are not looking for any gender bashing tales. They will not be considered nor recognized for this project; the premise is all about laughing at life, and ourselves. Deciding to become bisexual will be considered appropriate as well, for men and women. Graphic descriptions are OK but no outright pornography will be considered.      The basic title structure is Women (Men) Coming Out: (add your short subtitle). For instance, my Coming Out story is entitled "Coming Out: On Account of Lightning Bolts." The accepted stories will first be posted on the GLB web site as e-books to be sold for downloads for $1 each, the author to receive half that as royalties, paid monthly. If results and interest warrant, these stories may be combined in a print book when the accumulated wordage is appropriate. We will edit each piece submitted and when we consider that changes would improve the piece, will return it for comments and changes. Nothing will be published that you do not approve. Pseudonyms are OK as long as we have a working name and address. Please join GLB Publishers and the two editors, one for women and one for men, as we document and share with others one of the most important decisions of our lives but with a humorous twist.

The story in any Word Processing format can be emailed (attached to an email), addressed to
<  glbpubs@glbpubs.com  >. It will be edited and if we think it could be improved in structure we will get back to you with suggestions. Nothing will be published on the web site without your specific approval. If you want to copyright-register your story, please do so after making sure you have the final version. We will not copyright-register these stories.
