PerPubPoetry is designed to give poets a better voice to publish their books on the Internet in an optimal form for Downloading to readers' computers. It's e-Book Poetry, contemporary style.
We have experience in publishing poetry and we know that details are important. Format is important, and the PDF approach (our general recommendation) presents the work exactly as the writer intended. It is necessary that the recipients have on their computer the program Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading PDF files, but this is free for download from the Adobe web site.
In some cases, we can supply print details not previously practical, such as colored background and colored print that can be transferred on download as PDF files to readers' color screens and printers. This need not disturb the appearance unduly if the reader uses a black & white printer for the poetry; the pastel background appears light grey in that instance. Your choice of typeface can usually be accommodated. If you have a favorite typeface(s) you prefer to be used, provide a sample and we will try to match it/them. And if you want a cover for your Internet e-Book of poetry, we can design one (or use yours) and make it available for downloading, too. Presently on the web site is the chapbook, Roger Margason's The Poems of Dorien Grey, which is published with black typefaces (very variable from poem to poem) on a light blue background; this may serve as an example of these individual styles.
We have included on the next page some color samples, and more can be developed to suit your taste. Click here to see some suggested background colors. And of course there is always the faithful white background with black print (probably best for most work).
