READ AN E-BOOK

This Web Site Section is devoted to making books - novels, novellas, short stories, plays, non-fiction titles - available for downloading to your computer. These works are generally of particular interest to gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders, but sometimes we will rescue other interesting titles no longer in print or those unavailable from your stores for other reasons. And since you are doing the printing (and binding if you wish), the price is a fraction of the original.

Read an excerpt or summary of the selection(s) that interest(s) you by clicking on "Read Summary."
Click on the Format button of each selection to be ordered.
For each selection, choose the print format that you would find most useful for you; see below for specific considerations for format selected.
Select a Cover Graphic if you wish. If the book has been published previously, the graphic will consist of the book's front cover. If the book has not previously been published, the graphic is an original, developed to identify and depict this book for this presentation. The graphic will be in full color and in a compressed download form (usually .jpg) for printing by your color printer.
When finished making your selection(s), use the CHECKOUT button to go to the Credit Card form. Your selections will be listed in the form, waiting for you. This is a good time to check your orders to make sure you have indicated the correct format you want for each selection.
Your selections will be e-mailed to you promptly. Download is NOT automatic; there is a verification step, but we try to email your selection(s) within hours or even minutes.
Remember, the copyright is still in effect. All works are copyrighted by the author or the author's assignee and it is illegal to reprint or copy any of these works for further distribution in any form. Cover graphics are also protected by copyrights.
Most GLB Publishers' e-Books are available in seven formats:
PDF ( and indicated by a "p" in the code seen on your order form) which retains format, fonts, special characters, etc. of the original when read on screen with Adobe Acrobat Reader (available as a free download), or printed out on your printer. PDF files can also be read from the Glassbook Reader (now known as Acrobat eBook Reader vs. 2.x) where type size and orientation can be changed for optimal viewing;
Text ( indicated by "t" on your order form) which has none of the original format or fonts but can be modified to enlarge font size, reformat, etc. with your own computer and can be used with the Rocket ebook device;
RTF ( coded "rt" [Rich Text Format]) which works cross-platform with the Macintosh and Windows computers while retaining most of the formatting;
RB ( coded "rb") which is the format used most appropriately for use with the Rocket ebook device (this format is not encrypted);
HTML ( coded "h" on your order) which is the format used on the Internet and can be used with the Rocket ebook device;
MS Word ( coded "wd"), a popular word processing program (in these formats the standard font, Times New Roman, is used throughout since that font appears on all font lists); and
Word Perfect ( coded "wp") the classic word processing program , version 6 and above (again the font used is Times New Roman).
The LIT extension ( ) indicates the format for the MS Reader which uses ClearType technology for on-screen and some hand-held devices.
The MobiPocket PRC () is designed for several hand-held devices, and you probably know when you need this format. It is now available on all the full-sized books.
If you have need for another format, let us know what you would like and we will try to make it available for you.
We send the selections to the buyer by email, so you do not need special programs to open the files (although you do need the free Acrobat Reader for PDF files and Microsoft Reader for LIT files). Simply download them to your selected folder and use them immediately. To avoid bandwidth overload, we may break up the order into several emails sent one after the other for your convenience, depending on the size of the files. Downloading is not automatic (credit cards must be verified) so there may be a short delay in receiving the files.
When you see this symbol, you can obtain the printed (paperback) copy of your choice of book. These paperback books are also made available by the thousands for book stores and libraries, built to last, if you prefer them to the e-Book downloaded variety.
